Ryan Preece will make his 13th start of the 2018 season for Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) at Texas Motor Speedway (TMS). For his 17th-career start with JGR in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS), Preece will be behind the wheel of the No. 18 Rheem Toyota Camry. Preece started outside the top-10 in early April but was able to move through the field and record a fifth-place finish at TMS.

The DC Solar 300 took place at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Saturday September 15th at 5:00pm EST. The Rheem Toyota Camry failed to make a qualifying attempt due to the car not passing tech in time. Ryan Preece was then slotted in the 34th position to start the race.
