55-year-old Ron Hornaday returned to Daytona in the No. 30 Rheem Comfort Products Chevrolet looking for his first victory in his second race with TSM. After starting on the outside of row 1, he quickly fell behind pole sitter Ben Kennedy into the second position where the two dominated the race early. Hornaday remained there through the first two pit stops, the first coming when NASCAR threw the competition caution on lap 20.

Four-time NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) champion Ron Hornaday Jr. will make his second-career start for Turner Scott Motorsports on Friday night in the NCWTS race at Daytona International Speedway (DIS). The 55-year-old veteran is no stranger to success at the 2.5-mile superspeedway, having 10 starts with two top fives and three top 10s to his credit.

James Buescher comes into the opening race of the 2014 NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) season with a lot of changes, including running for RAB Racing. During the off-season, RAB Racing and Buescher have teamed up with support from Rheem and Toyota, and are looking to make a run at the 2014 NNS championship. The DRIVE4COPD300 will mark Buescher’s first start as a full-time NNS driver.

Looking to close out the 2013 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) on top, James Buescher and his Rheem team wouldn’t go down without a fight. After a sixth-place starting position for the Ford EcoBoost 200, Buescher searched around the 1.5-mile oval for a groove in which was suitable for his Rheem Chevrolet. Running inside the top-10 for most of the night, slight contact with another competitor forced Buescher down pit road multiple times for repairs to his left front nose.

Paul Menard will pilot chassis No. 428 at Homestead-Miami Speedway. This No. 27 Chevrolet SS was raced previously this season at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Michigan International Speedway, Chicagoland Speedway and Charlotte Motor Speedway. Menard has seven NASCAR Sprint Cup Series starts at Homestead-Miami Speedway. His best start of 16th came in 2010 and best finish of 11th came in last year’s season-ending event.
