NASCAR Sprint Cup Series – Geico 400

Kevin Harvick will pilot chassis No. 430 from the Richard Childress Racing NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stable in the GIEICO 400. This Chevrolet is new to the No. 29 team rotation and is scheduled to be on track for the first time this weekend at Chicagoland Speedway. Since the 2001 season, Harvick has made 12 Sprint Cup Series starts at the 1.5-mile D-shaped oval.

Paul Menard will pilot chassis No. 428 at Chicagoland Speedway. This No. 27 Chevrolet SS was raced previously this season at Indianapolis Motor Speedway where Menard drove it to a 12th-place finish and Michigan International Speedway where he finished fourth. Menard has six NASCAR Sprint Cup Series starts at Chicagoland Speedway. His best start of second came in 2011 and best finish of 10th came in 2010.

James Buescher and his Rheem team are not only looking to go back- to-back in NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) championships, but they are looking to reclaim their throne as the defending race winner at Chicagoaland Speedway. In 2012, Buescher and his Turner Scott Motorsports team came back from two laps down after changing a carburetor to win their third of four victories of the season.

James Buescher headed to Iowa Speedway looking to continue to chip away at the series points lead after having done so in the three previous races. Buescher and his Turner Scott Motorsports team set themselves up for a strong finish with a late-race pit stop that allowed his Exide crew to put on four sticker Goodyear tires and fill the No. 31 Chevrolet Silverado up with fuel.

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series – Federated Auto Parts 400

Kevin Harvick and the No. 29 Budweiser team collected an 11th-place finish under the lights of Richmond International Raceway on Saturday night after battling handling issues and experiencing an untimely caution. The California native started the 400-lap event from the 17th position and fell back into the top 20 during the early laps as he battled handling issues on the red and white Chevrolet.
