Coming from the back of the pack for the second week in a row, James Buescher was looking like a dark horse that could steal the win at his home track of Texas Motor Speedway on Friday evening. Buescher was forced to start from the back of the 32-truck field after his team decided to be safe and change their carburetor after finding an issue following qualifying impound.

Kevin Harvick will pilot chassis No. 391 from the Richard Childress Racing NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stable for the Party in the Poconos 400. The California native last piloted this Chevrolet at Bristol Motor Speedway in March, where he settled for a 14th-place finish. Harvick has made 24 starts at the 2.5-mile tri-oval dating back to the 2001 season.

Paul Menard, No. 27
Paul Menard will pilot chassis No. 403 at Pocono Raceway. This No. 27 Chevrolet SS was previously run this season at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and Kansas Speedway. It was also tested last week at Pocono. Menard has 12 starts at Pocono Raceway. His best start of second came in 2011 and best finish of ninth came in 2012.

Buescher returns to his home track, Texas Motor Speedway (TMS), with the goal of becoming the first driver to win on all surfaces at TMS. Cutting his teeth in racing at TMS, Buescher has already visited victory lane on the short tracks, the dirt track and the road course. The only surface Buescher has yet to win on at TMS is the 1.5-mile oval.

(June 3, 2013) – On Wednesday, June 5th, reigning NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Champion James Buescher, along with his wife Krishtian, will travel to Moore, Oklahoma, to assist with cleanup and rebuilding efforts throughout the community that was hit by devastating tornados last week. In addition to the Bueschers traveling to Oklahoma, Turner Scott Motorsports co-owner Steve Turner is also supporting the cleanup efforts by sending heavy machinery and operators to assist with clearing the rubble that was left behind.

Paul Menard started the 400-mile event at Dover International Speedway from the 16th position and struggled with handling issues throughout the day to finish 20th on Sunday afternoon. A long green-flag run at the start of the race, coupled with a tight-handling condition, caused Menard to fall a lap down to the leader at lap 56. The No. 27 crew made a variety of chassis adjustments during the ensuing pit stops on laps 71 and 82.
