Paul Menard will pilot chassis No. 386 in the Sprint Showdown at Charlotte Motor Speedway. This No. 27 Chevrolet SS raced at Texas Motor Speedway in 2012, but has not previously run this season. Menard has five-career Sprint Showdown starts at Charlotte Motor Speedway. His best start of third came in 2011 and best finish of fourth came in 2010.

After the season’s second extended break in the schedule, the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series returns to action this weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway (CMS). The last time the No. 31 Turner Scott Motorsports (TSM) team competed at CMS, Buescher went on to lead 10 laps and was running inside the top five before getting collected by a spinning lapped truck.

Kevin Harvick and the No. 29 Budweiser team started 10th and persevered through some late-race adversity to finish fifth in the Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway on Saturday night. The Richard Childress Racing driver used his admirable starting position to methodically move forward in the early stages of the 367-lap race. By lap 50, he was running sixth finding different areas of the 1.366-mile oval to improve his speed.
