Kevin Harvick drove the No. 29 Budweiser Chevrolet SS to a 13th-place finish at Martinsville Speedway on Sunday afternoon after late-race pit strategy played against the Richard Childress Racing team. The Bakersfield, Calif., native started the STP Gas Booster 500 from the 21st position and set his sights on the front of the field, moving into the top 10 by lap 36.

Paul Menard will pilot chassis No. 419 at Martinsville Speedway. This No. 27 Chevrolet SS is a new addition to the Richard Childress Racing stable this season. Menard has 11 starts at Martinsville Speedway. His best start of ninth came in 2010 and 2012 and best finish of 12th came in 2012. The Wisconsin native has completed 5,279 of 5,534 laps attempted (95.4 percent) at the half-mile oval.

After working their way up from a 20th-place starting position to race much of the Kroger 250 inside the top five, James Buescher and the No. 31 Rheem Chevy slipped back in the pack during a late race green-flag run. Buescher patiently picked his way through the field throughout the 250-lap race and looked like a threat for the victory on Saturday afternoon at Martinsville Speedway.

Kevin Harvick drove the No. 29 Jimmy John’s Chevrolet to a 13th-place finish after showing dominance in the Auto Club 400. The California native started the 200-lap event from the 14th position and quickly settled into the top five by lap 23.
