NASCAR Nationwide Series - DAV 200 Honoring America's Veterans
November 8, 2014 - Phoenix International Raceway
James Buescher, No. 99
The NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) invades the 1.0-mile tri-oval of Phoenix International Raceway (PIR) for the DAV 200 this Saturday afternoon. The 24-year-old has seven previous NNS starts at the raceway; in addition to his NNS experience at the track, the Texas native has four NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) starts including one top-10. In the rain-shortened spring race, Buescher and the No. 99 Rheem team were on a different pit cycle and started to move back through the 40-car field and made it up to 12th-place when the skies opened up and halted the scheduled 200-lap race to 168-laps.
My Rheem/RAB Racing team is coming off another tough weekend but last week is behind us and I feel like Phoenix is a place that we can secure another top-10. In the spring race we had a strong run going but the rains came and derailed our chances at securing a top-10. We're bringing the car that we had in practice at Dover and I fell like if we roll off the truck like we did in Dover, we should have a decent car that could get us a great finish. - James Buescher
With only two NASCAR Nationwide Series events remaining, the series will head out west to Phoenix International Raceway on Saturday, November 8. The DAV 200 Honoring America's Veterans can be seen on ESPN starting at 3:30 pm EDT. The event can also be heard on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio and MRN Radio.
