NASCAR Nationwide Series - Aaron's 312
May 03, 2014 - Talladega Superspeedway
James Buescher, No. 99
After posting the team's first top-10 of the season at Richmond last weekend, James Buescher and the Rheem team look to keep the momentum rolling at Talladega Superspeedway. This week's race at Talladega marks the second of three superspeedway races on the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) Schedule. At the first superspeedway race in Daytona, Buescher was running solidly inside the top-five when he received a pass-through penalty. Buescher went on to finish 18th. Buescher has three previous NNS starts at Talladega Superspeedway and has posted one top-10 and has led nine laps.
The team was able to secure their first top-10 last week, how does that help coming into Talladega?
I feel it helps a bunch. You could tell the moral was lifted after the finish we had at Richmond. The whole Rheem team is motivated to keep this momentum rolling and getting our season back on track. I really enjoy restrictor-plate racing, for whatever reason that style of racing really suits me. We had a very strong showing going at Daytona before we received our penalty. I think that was the point that changed the momentum with the season. My Rheem team is bringing the same car to Talladega that we had in Daytona so if we can stay out of the big one, I truly feel we'll be a threat for a top-five if not the win. - James Buescher
James Buescher and many of his NASCAR Nationwide Series competitors will be signing autographs for the fans from 1:45pm-2:30pm on Friday afternoon on the concourse under OV Hill South Grandstands. Be sure to come out early!
