NASCAR Nationwide Series - Dover 200
September 28, 2013 - Dover International Speedway
Kevin Harvick, No. 33
Kevin Harvick will pilot Chassis No. 107 from the Richard Childress Racing NASCAR Nationwide Series stable in the Dover 200 on Saturday afternoon. This RCR-prepared Chevrolet was most recently driven to a ninth-place result by Ryan Gifford at Iowa Speedway in July. Since 2001, Harvick has made 16 Nationwide Series starts at the one-mile facility collecting three pole awards (June 2000, September 2003 and June 2006), three top-five and nine top-10 finishes. The two-time Nationwide Series champion holds an average starting position of 8.6 coupled with an 11.7 average finishing position. He has completed 98.2 percent (3,157 of 3,214) of the laps contested and is credited with 290 laps led.
The key to being successful at Dover (International Speedway) is rhythm. If you get into a rhythm with a particular setup, you're going to be successful there. Getting the right balance is what is tricky. Just running a setup free enough where you can get back on the throttle in the middle of the corner and get off the corner without pushing the front tires. It's a pretty sensitive race track and it is tough to get the balance right. - Kevin Harvick
Flag-to-flag coverage of the Dover 200 will be televised on ESPN beginning at 3:30 p.m. Eastern Time on Saturday, Sept. 28 and broadcast live on the Motor Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Satellite Radio channel 90.
