NASCAR Nationwide Series - Great Clips 300
August 31, 2013 - Atlanta Motor Speedway
Kevin Harvick, No. 33
Kevin Harvick will pilot Chassis No. 120 from the Richard Childress Racing NASCAR Nationwide Series stable in the 300-mile event at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Saturday night. So far this season, Harvick has driven this RCR-prepared Chevrolet to a fifth-place finish at Texas Motor Speedway in April and at Charlotte Motor Speedway in May. Since 2000, Harvick has made 11 Nationwide Series starts at the 1.54-mile facility collecting one win (2009), six top-five and eight top-10 finishes. The two-time Nationwide Series champion holds an 8.2 average starting position coupled with an 8.5 average finishing position, has completed 95.8 percent (2,094 of 2,185) of the laps contested and is credited with 376 laps led. After starting from the third position, Harvick and the No. 33 Bad Boy Buggies team earned third-place finish in the 2012 Nationwide Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway, after leading 157 laps and dominating the 300-mile event.
Atlanta (Motor Speedway) is a very fast track. You can race all over it, from the white line on the bottom all the way up to the wall and still be competitive. Atlanta has always been a good track to me. I've had success in all three of NASCAR's top series there and hope that luck continues this weekend, so we can get the Bad Boy Buggies Chevrolet to Victory Lane. - Kevin Harvick
Flag-to-flag coverage of the Great Clips 300 will be televised on ESPN2 beginning at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time on Saturday, August 31 and broadcast live on the Performance Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Satellite Radio channel 90.
