Rheem® WAVE associates recently had the exciting opportunity to volunteer with the Atlanta Humane Society. Often called Surfers within Rheem, the associates are early career professionals from our rotational program who work with multiple departments over the course of two years.

Phase Out Information – Effective February 26, 2024
Rheem® is excited to announce the indoor RTG Series High Efficiency Non-Condensing Tankless Gas Water Heaters are now available through wholesale channels. The new RTG Series will replace the RTG-1 Mid-Efficiency Non-Condensing Tankless Gas Water Heaters. With the same proven performance both plumbers and homeowners have come to trust, this enhanced tankless line offers a new modern design.
Effective February 26, 2024, we are no longer accepting orders on indoor RTG-1 Natural Gas Water Heaters.
Rheem® HotWave® is the multipurpose hose sprayer that provides on-demand heated water for outdoor cleaning projects. It’s a safe and easy way to wash your car, rinse off your outdoor patio and equipment or give your furry friend a bath. It evolved over the years, starting from a sketch to becoming an innovative and versatile tool for homeowners. We’re proud to announce HotWave received multiple awards in 2023 and was featured in news outlets.

1970s
Fifty years ago, in October 1971, Rheem® broke ground on a 200,000 square foot manufacturing plant in Montgomery, Alabama to produce water heaters for households in the Southeastern United States. Since opening in 1972, the plant has undergone two major expansions and now ships both residential and commercial water heating systems to households and businesses across North America. Rheem has grown to be the largest manufacturer of water heaters worldwide with the Montgomery plant shipping to Canada,
EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2022 – Impacted Products Update
Department of Energy Policy Enforcement – Electric Tank Water Heaters
Effective January 1, 2022, electric tank water heaters with inputs less than or equal to 12kW will:
– require their efficiency be rated in terms of Uniform Energy Factor (UEF) and
– meet applicable NAECA III consumer (residential) efficiency requirements.
This will result in changes to our residential and commercial electric tank water heater offerings.
