Get to Know Tim

Tim is a new Plumber Support Manager from Kentucky who has dedicated almost his entire life to plumbing. He is a second-generation plumber who is licensed in Kentucky, Ohio and Indiana. He not only enjoys plumbing, but he also enjoys teaching others all about it. Read on to explore Tim’s passion for the profession.

How It All Started

Q: Why did you get into plumbing?

A: My dad was a self-employed plumber. I started going with him on jobs when I was five. Growing up, I worked after school, on weekends and during summer. I enjoyed plumbing with my dad, and I still enjoy plumbing to this day.

Q: What do you like most about being a plumber?

A: I would say knowing that you played an instrumental role in the construction of a building. I still get to drive by buildings that I had a hand in plumbing.

Q: What do you like most about your role at Rheem?

A: I am new, but to this point, it has been being invited to have a voice as a master plumber in discussions about product and process changes.

Q: What is your favorite memory of a time you helped your customers?

A: I can’t pinpoint a favorite. Over the years, I have fond memories of helping those in need, whether it be a family that is having a hard time, an area that has been devastated by storms or a local nonprofit organization, or just repairing someone’s plumbing so they can go back to normal. Plumbers, as with many construction trades, have a unique skill that most don’t possess. This gives us the ability to make a difference in someone’s life.

Q: What was one of your proudest moments as a plumber?

A: I have taught plumbing for many years. Many of my students have gotten their licenses and have continued to work in the trade they enjoy. My proudest moments are being able to have a part in that.
