2024 Heat Pump Water Heater Week Recap

This year’s Heat Pump Water Heater Week was one for the books! Here at Rheem®, this special week is a tradition that started from Heat Pump Water Heater (HPWH) Day hosted by the Advanced Water Heating Initiative (AWHI). HPWH Day has taken place every October since 2022 and is dedicated to energy efficiency education and awareness. From attending the annual HPWH Day program to watching our plumber live stream training, HPWH advocates from around the country enjoyed learning about the importance and benefits of this game-changing technology.

Top 5 Livestream Teardown & Training Takeaways

Plumbers joined us for a livestream teardown and training on our Rheem® ProTerra® Hybrid Electric Heat Pump Water Heater with new features. We set up our livestream at TE Certified in Kennesaw, Georgia and hosted their team in person and over 100 plumbers online. It was a session to get into the details and answer plumbers’ questions about heat pump water heaters. Tim House, Plumber Support Manager, shared everything.

Innovation Learning Centers Provide Plumbers Learning Like No Other

Reopened Innovation Learning Centers (ILCs)

We opened our ILC doors up again for in-person training in September 2021. We know that many plumbers prefer an in-person experience, and we are glad to be back after our ILCs were closed since mid-March 2020 due to the pandemic.

We welcomed over 19,000 attendees whether they participated in in-person training or online training once we had to close our Innovation Learning Centers due to COVID.
